Mining for silver
It was a cold start of the Atlantic Salmonicebergs were still plentiful in the fjords of Labrador and Newfoundland. 3 weeks into the season we had only 3 days of sun, but we managed to pick up fish here and there anyways. After 3 weeks in Canada, it was time to pay Kharlovka and Litza a wisit, not that it got any better…but at least a 28 pounder was landed on a single-hand rod and dry fly… season. The
At the time Scanout is taking parting a book project, but more information regarding this book will follow later in the season.

The assignment was a challenge. With no information in advance the photographers had 2-3 days to complete their assignments.
The pictures will end up in a exhibition that will tour around in Europe 2007- 2008, as well as in a book. More news will follow as we go on.... READ MORE IN THE BLOG

HDV under water Aug. 06
We are now proud to offer under-water High Quality HDV. Lately we have tested the new Amphibico VHFXZ106 housing for the Sony HDV Z1 videocamera. It really suits our needs. The heavy housing (36 lb) gives a steadier image, and the build-quality of the Sony Z1 is very good.
The camera was first tested in Antarctica for three weeks, filming krill. On its second assignment we filmed King-crabs in the far north of Norway, close to the Russian border near Kirkenes. The result is more than 2 hours of good quality stock-material of King-crabs. Filmed in a variety of locations and in different under-water environments. You will see crabs on the move, attacking the camera, divers, etc.
We would also like to remind you that we have a large amount of still-images taken over the last few years, some of which have been published in the Scandinavian edition of National Geographic Magazine.

PATAGONIA - The Adventure Continues 10.01.06

Tim “El Paskador” Pask and Yngve "El Askador" Ask recently spent two and a half weeks in the southern reaches of Patagonia, Argentina. Located fifty kilometers from the eastern coast, the beautiful and wild Estancia Las Buitreras was the headquarters for their adventures. Fly fishing for Patagonia’s famous Seatrout on the Rio Gallegos, proved to be the perfect backdrop for their photography assignment. In search for wild horses they headed to Estancia Stag River, where they were able to photograph the capture and taming of Patagonia’s prized wild mustangs. Then to the cliffs in hopes of finding the rare Andes Condor, our team met an extraordinary man, who had spent most of his 78 years hunting pumas. To date Ampuero has taken 280 big cats with his 22 caliber rifle, and shows no signs of slowing down. You can see all of the Argentina pictures HERE or visit the galleries.
