As a child Tim spent countless hours in his Grandfathers basement sorting through all the rods and reels that he had helped manufacture at “Bronson Reels”, in small town in southern Michigan. Along the way he ran across a 1960 vintage fly reel, something that passed for fly line in those days, and a fly rod that was surely heavier then the average current 12 wt. tarpon rod. Last heard the spiny-ray population had fully recovered from Tim’s early adventures, but beating those tiny streams and lakes to a froth was what would mold his future and provided the basis to pursue the wild side of life. It seems Tim has always had a camera in his hands and for what he lacked in quality equipment, he made up for by not having a clue what he was doing. In fact it wasn’t until Tim was showing some photos to a professional photographer friend of his and he said, “Man huge permit, too bad you didn’t get some better pictures” that his world would soon change. This seemingly innocent statement ended up being life changing for Tim, and so it finds him right now banging away on his keyboard, editing images from his last trip, planning his next adventure. Last seen Tim was trying to pack more camera gear then 2 full time photographers need all into a airline approved carry-on that continues to shrink by the second. In other words, “This is working out perfect”. Tim’s images have appeared in numerous publications including Fly Fishing in Saltwater, The Field, and Fish & Fly. He was lucky enough to go on assignment with the Sage Fly Fishing Company and photographed their 2003 product catalog, featuring Christmas Island as our backdrop. His work has also been featured in a variety of advertising literature for companies such as Sage, Fly Water Travel, Loop Tackle and Loop Eco. Tim is extremely excited to be joining the Scanout Pro Team and looks forward to heading back out on assignment as soon as the airline finds his missing luggage. “The Adventure Continues”

Randulf holds a Phd. in metallurgy, but makes a living as an adventurer, writer and photographer, rather than as a scientist. He rarely enjoys the luxury of well equipped wilderness lodges, and is much more likely to be found enjoying a fresh made cup of coffe in his tent in some remote area of the world. He prefers to travel with a few close friends, or entirely by himself, and thinks life is at its best when he is able to spend several weeks in unspoilt wilderness. In addition to the Norwegian nature, Arctic Canada is his favourite area. Recently he has also developed an interest for the vast opportunities in Greenland. His favourite photograpic subject is man in nature, but he also shoots wildlife and landscapes. Randulf publishes most of his work in the Norwegian magazine «Friluftsliv», but has also published stories in magazines like Vi Menn, Padling, Up Here (Ca) and Kunst for alle. He has also released one book, from the North West Passage expedition, together with expedition mate Bengt Rotmo. His ambition is to get so close to the birds, that the camera even reveals structures of feathers and skin. “To be able to get that close, you need to learn a lot about their behaviour”, says Hans. “ At the moment Hans has about 250 Nordic species in his collection, and the amount is steadily increasing.
